Freaky Tiki

What you need:

Tube. I'm using the art of Michael Landefeld. You can purchase his art here.

Kit. I'm using the Freaky Tiki kit by Scrappin Krazy Designs. You can find where to purchase it here.

Animation. I'm using an animation by Simone. The one used is Ani69 and can be found here.

I assume you have working knowledge of Photoshop. This was written using CS5.

Open a new image with the dimensions of 600x600. Flood fill with white. We will crop this later, so don't worry too much about the size.

Copy and paste your tube into the image. Position in the center.

Open ele19. Resize by 80%. Copy and paste into the image behind the tube.

Open p05. Copy and paste into your image behind the frame. Close off the paper and tube layers. Using the magic wand tool, click inside of the frame. Expand by 5px. Reopen the paper layer. Hit invert selection and hit delete. Deselect all.

Copy and paste a close up from your tube above the frame background. Set the blend mode to luminosity and create a clipping mask with the paper and close up. Do this by holding the alt key between the two layers and then clicking. Merge those two layers together.

Open ele62. Copy and paste above the frame. Position to the right of the tube. Duplicate and flip horizontally. Move to the other side of the tube. Merge these two layers together and add a drop shadow of choice.

Open ele01. Resize by 50%. Copy and paste above the tube layer. Position towards the bottom of the tube.

Open ele28. Copy and paste above the frame background. Position at the bottom of the frame. Create a clipping mask as we did before and merge those layers together.

Open ele15. Resize by 40%. Copy and paste under the tube layer. Position to the right of the tube.

Open ele17. Resize by 30%. Copy and paste above the lime layer. Position to the right of the tube. Merge the lime and coconut together. Duplicate and flip horizontally. Move to the opposite side of the tube.

Open ele66. Resize by 40%. Copy and paste above the top layer. Position to the edge of the sign. Open ele65. Resize by 30%. Copy and paste above the drink layer. Position over near the other drink. Use my tag as a guide.

Open ele10. Resize by 30%. Copy and paste above the drinks. Position on the other side of the sign. Rotate a little to the left.

At this point, let's crop and add our copyright information and name.

If you aren't going to animate, close off the white layer and save as a png. If you are going to animate, let's keep going.

Select the layers from your copyright information down to the frame. Group those layers by hitting Ctrl+G.

open your animation of choice. Select all frames. Group them like we did before. Duplicate the group, but find your tag from the drop down menu and click that. Move the animation above the frame background layer.

Close off all the layers in the animation group except frame 1. In your animation window, create 26 frames.

In frame 1, make sure the only animation layer showing is frame 1. In frame 2, make sure only frame 2 is showing. Do this for every frame.

When you are finished, set the display to .1 and save for web and devices.

Enjoy!
